Jewelry Care
Care for sterling silver and moissanite jewelry
Gentle handling and dry storage help keep your jewelry looking its best. Follow any care instructions provided for your specific piece, especially when it has a plated finish or a delicate setting.
Silver and surface finishes
925 sterling silver can tarnish over time, and plated finishes can be affected by abrasion and chemicals. Choose a cleaning method for the metal and finish as well as the moissanite. If you notice a change in colour or surface condition, contact us with a photo before using a polish or chemical cleaner.
When wearing your jewelry
- Put jewelry on after applying perfume, lotions and sprays, once your skin is dry.
- Remove it before swimming, showering, exercising or using household cleaning products.
- Avoid pulling on chains, bending settings or catching jewelry on clothing.
Cleaning
After wear, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid abrasive polishes, silver dips, harsh chemicals, steam and ultrasonic cleaning unless the method has been confirmed as suitable for your piece.
If your jewelry needs more than a gentle wipe, contact us with the product link or a photo so we can help you choose an appropriate next step.
Storage and handling
- Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or jewelry box to reduce scratches and tangling.
- Make sure jewelry is dry before storing or packing it.
- If a clasp, chain or setting appears loose or damaged, stop wearing the piece and ask for advice before using it again.
For resale displays, use clean, dry surfaces and handle individual pieces gently. Share the care instructions for each item with your customers.
